Incredible Hulk Ice Cream
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revenge is a dish best served cold — especially when it’s in the form of ice cream. During the Avengers: Endgame premiere on April 26, fans noticed a fun little nod to Ben & Jerry’s, which features in the film as the Avengers are planning their time travel mission to steal past versions of themselves (a “time heist,” as Scott Lang calls it). The company has made tie-in flavors inspired by other famous entities in the past, including the Colbert Report, The Tonight Show, Phish, Bob Marley, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Saturday Night Live, and Barack Obama.
In this instance, the ice cream that was on offer was an Avengers-inspired Ben & Jerry’s flavor called Hulk Smash Wink, which was described as “a sweet treat featuring a swirl of green ice cream with fudge chunks and a layer of vanilla cake topped with a crunchy granola crumble.” It was only available at the event, but SYFY WIRE notes that it may be available in stores, though it has not yet been announced.
The Hulk Smash Wink flavor also featured a few other tasty ingredients, like peanut butter cookies and chocolate cake. Its website features a picture of the ice cream, and it also says, “This new creation is a must-try for fans of both ice cream and comics!”
Incredible Hulk #715: The Jekyll-Hyde arc continues with some action as Maddy Cho and Alpha Flight descend on Amadeus. Writer Greg Pak sets the tone for this arc nicely, and artists Carlo Barberi and Walden Wong help bring out the drama with their blocking of the two. They also do a great job of emphasizing the physical differences between Cho and his Hulk persona.
As the fight between the two escalates, Striker sics his men on the Hulk and it takes them out one by one. The Punisher then drops a grenade but the Hulk smashes him with a closed fist. Hector, another Pantheon member, gets his shot off but the grenade bounces off of him and explodes.
