The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 superhero film based on the comic book character. It was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures. Starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, the film was a box office hit and starred an ensemble cast, including Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, and Ty Burrell. It received mixed reviews, but overall it is a solid superhero film with an enjoyable storyline.
While the premise is sound, the movie fails to capitalize on the ludicrous nature of the Hulk’s existence. It is too overblown and too loud for modern audiences. In order to engage audiences, the monsters must do interesting things. A mere “Hulk smash!” isn’t very exciting. So how does The Incredible Hulk stack up against its peers?
