The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal Orlando

If you want to ride a coaster at Universal Orlando that packs some serious punch, look no further than the Incredible Hulk. This ride is one of the most popular in the park, and for good reason!

The Incredible Hulk is a launch roller coaster that was originally built by Bolliger & Mabillard. The company closed the ride for an extensive refurbishment in September 2015, and then reopened it with a new look in summer 2016.

This means that the track is redesigned and the cars have been refurbished to create a completely new experience. The ride also has new on-ride effects and in-queue elements that will be sure to get your heart pumping!

Whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan or just want to experience one of the world’s best thrill rides, the Incredible Hulk is an awesome addition to your trip to the Islands of Adventure. You’ll feel the rush from the moment you step on the tracks, as you speed around the bends and inversions.

It’s not hard to see why it was a favorite of thrill seekers in Orlando when it opened back in 1999, and it remains a top choice for pre-teens and teens who love coasters. It’s a fast and intense ride, and it’s one of the few that requires riders to hold on tightly throughout.

Before you get on the ride, you’ll walk through a themed queue that resembles a high-tech military research facility. You’ll encounter several scientists who are experimenting with a process called “Hulk-a-fication.” They have an enormous energy source known as the Gamma Core that sends pulsing waves of radiation to fuel their experiments.

Once inside, you’ll pass through a series of high-tech labs and be introduced to a number of other volunteers who have undergone this procedure before you. Then, you’ll enter a tunnel that is set to a thrilling ride score by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.

The tunnel is designed to re-create the feeling of being launched out of a cannon and you’ll hear music, dialogue, and other elements as you move through it. Once you’re out, the coaster will slow down and you’ll climb up a short lift hill before launching into the air to reach speeds of 40 miles per hour and more.

There are seven inversions, a 110-foot cobra roll, and four G’s on this ride! It’s a little jarring, but the thrills are definitely worth it.

During the launch, you’ll go from zero to 40 mph in two seconds! This is the fastest rated launch coaster in the world.

While it’s not quite as scary as some other B&M launches, the launch on this ride is still a bit jarring, especially if you aren’t used to such a rapid acceleration. It may be better for older kids or adults who are more prone to motion sickness, but this is an excellent attraction for anyone who wants to take their thrill ride to the next level!
