The incredible hulk universal is one of the most iconic roller coasters in the country. It combines an incredibly impressive launch sequence with seven inversions and high speeds to create an unforgettable ride experience.

This B&M steel launched roller coaster opened to the public on May 28, 1999 and is based on the Marvel comic book character, The Incredible Hulk. The ride features a unique launch design where riders are propelled through a tunnel before being accelerated to a top speed of 40 mph.

Riders pass through a queue that is themed to look like a state-of-the-art military research facility, complete with laboratories and questionable experiments. Eventually, guests are led into a futuristic gamma-ray radiation chamber, which is responsible for turning Bruce Banner into the Hulk.

Once inside the chamber, you’ll be placed in a seated ride-vehicle. After you’ve been seated and secured in your seat, an audible voice will announce: “Initiating Gamma Exposure.”

Then, an electronic sound effects effect will begin and the train begins to accelerate. Within two seconds, riders will be accelerating through a tunnel of bright lights and special effects.

From here, you’ll be launched into a series of inversions that will twist and turn you around until you return to the lab. These inversions include a weightless zero-g roll, cobra rolls, and a big helix that’s filled with whippy turns.

While these inversions may seem a bit daunting at first, they’re actually very smooth and gentle. They’re also quite a bit different from the usual B&M loopers, so they feel more exciting overall.

I had a chance to ride the incredible hulk universal during its latest update in 2016. The queue has been completely redone with an all new design, including a large marquee featuring a colossal figure of the green monster ripping tracks in half! This was a great upgrade and really adds to the theme of the park.

The ride also has a new pre-ride theming, and a few changes were made to the actual rides themselves. Axis Studios created a new storyline and new CG animation that helps make this one of the most impressive experiences in the entire park.

This new attraction is a great addition to the park and it’s sure to bring in many fans of the comic book character. It’s definitely the best addition to Marvel Super Hero Island and it’s going to be a big hit for Universal Orlando.

For those who are nervous about riding this attraction, I highly suggest taking some time to do your research and if you’re feeling it’s too much for you, you can always go back and ride it again another day!

I rode the incredible hulk universal again this year, and while it’s still great and an all-around fun ride, I think I might have to give it a slight bump. While I loved the opening sequence, I thought that the second half of the ride lost its pacing and got a little rushed and rough. This ride was a really great way to spend an afternoon at the park, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a good, exciting, high-speed thrill.
